The Next Step

Last time, we left you with our story as far as the spreadsheet phase. We were looking for a way to get started trading again, and not having much luck.

Since we were far from any town of any size, getting a job was out of the question. So we looked around, and decided to give up a few of the trees on the north side of our 80 acres. We had been advised to thin part of the forest on that side, so we called a guy we knew and he came up to survey the trees.

We agreed on a date, and a price, and a few weeks later we had enough to start a very small trading account. We checked our longer term charts, and purchased two options. We won't tell you which markets we traded, but we can say that we quadrupled our money with those trades, and that set us up for success later on.

It's funny how timing never quite works out. By this I mean that every time we start a project, the stuff we need for it just went off sale. In trading, we regularly miss opportunities when we are involved in various home improvement projects made possible by our new trading activities.

It also applies to programs that come along after you need them. A good example of that is a new program that just started about three weeks ago. It's called MessageMagic
and it offers a very unique way to make some very good money. If we had that program a few months earlier, we could have gotten started trading much sooner.

Anyway, that's our new start in trading. Next time, we will tell you about how we plan to conquer the world, one option trade at a time.
